Sziget 2007 Media Farm *
Welcome to the Sziget Festival's Official Panorama Site.
This year, once again, our media farmers will gather imagery and sound to immerse you in the Sziget phenomenon. Enjoy the interactive panoramas, photos, sounds and video - some of which we post throughout the days of the festival itself.
But do return, as it will take a couple of weeks after the festival to have all our material available to you . . .
Thank you,
Sziget2007 Media Farm
Day 8 : Farewell
Aldo, Gilles and I Were on our way to the airport bright and early, half asleep and anxious to make time. The airport was full of Sziget visitors still proudly wearing their bracelets to anchor their bragging rights of attendence. In the meantime, Krisztina captured disassembly on the island. Farewell, Sziget 2007.

Day 7 : Apocaliptic Fun
Published: August 14, 2007
We did not make the slim cut of phoptographers allowed to take pictures of Tool last night, and tonight noone was allowed to photograph the Killers. But as always, there were ample opportunities provided by the ametuer entertainers who are always willing to have their picture taken.

Day 6 : Check, Check, Check Out The Aerial Shot
Published: August 13, 2007
Last year we could not conjure up sufficient amounts of wind to support Aldo's kite rig. Today, however dirty, he had enough air movement for lift-off. So, be sure to check-check-check it out . . . .

Day 5 : Sunny Sand Dunes
Published: August 12, 2007
The rain is gone. Once again, the weather is beautiful and the only thing that reminds us of the wet bygones are the occasional soft patches on the ground and the sand humps used to fill the poddles. And from the sand, impromptu sculptures arise everywhere.

Day 4: Responding to the Rain
Published: August 11, 2007
We are still not afraid of the big bad rain. And common sense might dictate to be at least annoyed, it seems Sziget is inspired instead. The shows go on with no to little delay and the imptomptu spectator events offer evermore entertainment to those attending. Be sure to check out our mud fishing and mud wresting panorama coverage.

Day 3 : Panorama Production in Full Swing
Published: August 10, 2007
With Aldo having joined us, you will notice our daily panorama production having increased significantly (as has our beer consumption). Expect coverage of a greater number of venues and sponsor spots, as well as enjoy multiple interpretations of the same places.

Day 2 : We're Not Afraid of the Big Bad Rain
Published: August 9, 2007
Europe has been under the attack of the gaint rain monster. We havent't seen TV or heard radio in days and the only time we spend on the web is for uploading our images. But Mickael, who will not be able to join us from Belgium and Aldo who has flown in from Switzerland this afternoon brought us news of tarantual rainfalls. Sziget got some rain, only enough to keep the dust to a minimum though . . . In the meantime, those who did not get their daily hygene needs satisfied by the brief precipitation could visit MOL's (a Hungarian oil company) wash which was built with moonbounce, carwash and industrial suds in mind.

DAY 1 : From now on having fun is official!
Published: August 8, 2007
Yes, yes: the early bird does get the worm, but it's the second mouse who gets the cheese! So here we are, on the opening day. Gilles joined me today, and it was only fitting that soon upon our arrival, I could offer him something from my own adopted home, the good ol' U.S. of A.: The What Cheer? Brigade, a wandering brass band from Providence, Rhode Island. These guys can play their instruments just about anywhere, and here they are on foot we lajust as easily could have caught them among tree branches, as we very well may still during their three day stay.

DAY 0 : A Hungarian Classic
The early bird gets the worm: those who got onto the island the day before the official program began got to see Hungary's clasic band, Locomotiv GT. I could tell you I listened to it while in high school, but it would date me beyond my youthful heart and dazzling looks . . .

The show will soon begin . . .
Published: August 5, 2007
The island has been awakened. It is still rubbing its eyes, and is collecting strength to stretch its limbs, crackle its bones to slowly lift its feet out of slumber. The stages, like big sleepy eyelids, hesitantly rise . . .
